I love Asian food and I was excited to try this place out. It was empty during busy lunch time and it was a little weird to me.
The lady behind the counter seemed new and untrained since she didn't know what kind of ingredients come with a dish and also she did not feel comfortable using the register.
I ordered chicken hai nam and Malaysian beef patty.
Patty was below average. The dough was delicious but the filling was tasteless and meat chunks were rubbery. I expected it to be a little spicy but it was not. I would not recommend it especially after trying beef patties elsewhere.
Chicken hai num was a disappointment also. The veggies were gross(I love fermented cabbage such as kimchee or sauerkraut)but this particular cabbage was really disgusting. Very sweet and it was ruining the whole meal. Cucumbers and carrots had exactly the same weird sweet-sour flavor.
Chicken was good , that's why I give 2 stars. THE PORTION IS A JOKE!!!!
Will I recommend? Well if you eat small portions and don't mind sweet/sour taste then yes ? Will I go back? Definitely no -

I have been eyeing Joss Bites since their renovation started. Today I finally had the chance to try it for lunch
It is only a week or so old, so it was pretty vacant. The decor is kind of a spacey theme with lots of metal, screens and other future decor. Also the theme has an aqua blue tone, thus the blue tint to my photos
The workers behind the counter were extremely nice and helpful as we navigated their awesome Asian street food menu
This is what we had
Fresh mint, ginger and lime sparkler- make sure you stir this before you drink it as the flavors settle to the bottom- once you do that you get all of the flavors- it is not too sweet and very refreshing on a hot day
Toasted garlic with minced pork on vermicelli noodles- this was an explosion of flavors- make sure you mix this up before you eat it so you get everything in every bite- so good! The extra sauce I used to put on the other dishes
Baked Malaysian curry beef in puffed pastry- this was like a Chinese empanada. The pastry was very flaky and well made. The beef and the curry worked well together. Pretty good- but there are so many other things to explore on the menu
Hainan chicken with coconut rice- this was the bomb! make sure you use the green garlic sauce on the chicken and the ginger on the coconut rice- WOW! loved this
Szechuan spicy pork wontons in chili sauce- loved this dish as well! great flavor and loved the sichuan spices
Crab and Uni soup dumplings- I thought this was going to be the best bite of the day because it is right up my alley- but to me this was the least successful dish we tried- maybe the uni wasn't up to par?
All in all- I will be back. Everything on the menu sounds so good and if the dishes are similar and quality to what I had for lunch today- I will be in for a real treat
If you are looking for a reasonably priced unique Asian lunch or dinner, you owe it yourself to try this place
Oh- since they have no beer or alcohol license, BYOB!!!!! -

Great flavors.
Really loved all the dishes I tried except could've done without the crab egg rolls which were priced $10+
A little pricey for Chinese food, but the flavors are so vibrant and well harmonized.
I ordered the fried tofu which was lightly battered but super crispy. Came with a chili sauce. I'd recommend it.
Picked mustard with minced meat vermicelli was so delicious!! Wished I had two. Lots of garlic and crunch to this dish.
Malaysian curry puff. Similar to an empanada but with Asian flavors. Really good but can feel a little heavy. Love the buttery flakiness.
Crab egg rolls for some reason just were too salty and didn't have the best flavor combo in my opinion. It just wasn't there for me. A bit bland
All in all, we spent about $35 dollars for these 4 dishes so definitely a bit pricier for tapas but it's worth an experience. Would come here again if I'm in the area. -

New Asian restaurant in Beverly Hills. Intimate space-themed casual spot with two long communal tables occupying most of the space and a couple tables for outdoor seating.
Very extensive menu of classic dim sum dishes or asian-style tapas if you will. some of the dishes I got to sample:
Fresh mint, ginger and lime sparkler: definitely a must. very refreshing.
crab and uni soup dumplings - as other yelpers have said, the uni just isn't up to par and I think could be omitted since it doesn't really add to the classic dish.
lamb brioche - one of my fav dishes, but how can you not like bread stuffed with lamb right?
duck confit in a steamed twisted roll - one of their signature and unique dishes, really good
Peking duck slider - definite signature and must get item
